FHT Gala Awards

Áine is recognised at FHT Gala Awards Ceremony

Local individual Aine Lavery has won the Excellence In Beauty award at a national awards ceremony, where the best and brightest stars in the complementary and beauty industries have been recognised. Organised by the Federation of Holistic Therapies, the event was held in September 2015 in Stratford-upon-Avon, to recognise students, high-calibre practitioners and noteworthy businesses in the industry.

Speaking of the win, Aine said: “I am thrilled to win this award, skincare is my passion and as such, my clinic specialises in skincare and facial treatments.  It is lovely to be acknowledged by my peers by winning this award.”

She added: “I really believe that good skin takes a double pronged approach and nutrition is central to that. Next month I am beginning a 3 year diploma in Naturopathic Nutrition which will underpin the thinking behind my treatments and advice to clients.”

Jennifer Wayte, President of the Federation of Holistic Therapists says “These awards are designed to recognise individuals and businesses that are excelling in therapy practice and education. Winners should be exceptionally proud to be selected from a pool of high-calibre peers, in a ceremony which is recognised across the industry. Well done.”

Over the years Aine has treated numerous clients with skin problems such as acne and rosacea as well as addressing anti ageing at her idyllic haven aptly named “A Haven at Harty’s” in Hillsborough.  She says: “With leading edge skincare, effective treatments, combined with internal health, it is possible to have radiant healthy skin. My methods and philosophy are completely holistic, combining advanced technology with professional skincare to give great results which bridge the gap between beauty therapy and medical science.”

Originally from Ballygawley, Co.Tyrone, Aine moved to Belfast to study at the University of Ulster, and after several years working as a Chartered Surveyor, Aine took a complete change of direction into health and beauty. She said: “I’ve never looked back and would encourage anyone who wants to take a new direction in life to embrace the change, you have to love what you do in order to become really good at it.”
